about Scottish reefers:
The Scottish Reefers Club is an informal club of marine hobbiests in Scotland. Our primary hobby is the keeping of tropical marine fish and corals in a single system- the reef tank. Up until about ten years ago this was very difficult to do successfully, but these last years have seen huge strides forward in methods of keeping these delicate creatures in the home environment. We actively encourage swapping or trading of coral frags and critters, thus reducing or in some cases eliminating the need for wild stock. Most corals are now farmed or "fragged" and those that are not arguably should not be kept in a home reef.
We encourage and support all methods of marine conservation.
